Tiraspol honors the memory of the defenders

Funeral events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Bendery tragedy in Pridnestrovie began in Tiraspol. The ceremony "Memory knocks in our hearts" was held at 7.30 at the Memorial of Glory. Tiraspol residents remember and honor the memory of the feat that soldiers, officers and volunteers performed so that Pridnestrovian cities and villages lived under a peaceful sky.

They lay fresh flowers at the graves of the defenders who died in 1992 and were buried at the capital's Memorial of Glory. The memory of the defenders of Pridnestrovie on behalf of the Supreme Council of the PMR was commemorated by Vice Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy Vadim Levitsky.

After the laying ceremony at the capital's Memorial of Glory, the convoy of transport with representatives of public and veteran organizations moved to Bendery. The main commemorative and mourning events began there at 8 am with a memorial service in memory of those who died in 1992.
