No - to Terrorism!

18.11.2015

All factions of the State Duma of the Russian Federation supported the statement, which says that attacks that became more often should prompt countries to unite against terrorism. Parliamentarians expressed their condolences to the families of people killed in terrorist attacks in Paris, Beirut, Syria, Egypt, Turkey, Iraq. According to first deputy chairman of the Duma Committee for International Affairs Svetlana Zhurova, the death of any innocent people, the use of teenagers to undermine the "suicide belts", climate of fear and doom in the society cannot but cause indignation and condemnation. The Duma statement said that a particular danger becomes "overtures with terrorists" that Western countries practice. Terrorists are divided into "good" and "bad" from the radical groups as the main force to overthrow the unwanted regimes. There are examples: Iraq, Libya and Syria have shown that this leads to the most negative consequences.

Today, Europe is paying for short-sighted policy of Washington, emphasized Zhurova. European countries cannot cope with the flow of refugees and are now faced with the real threat of terrorism, the war in fact, declared by "Islamic state". To cope with this threat can only by combining the forces of all states in the coalition against terrorism.

State Duma deputies have warned that, chaos in the Middle East and North Africa threatens to overwhelm the wave of violence and terror of the neighboring countries and regions of the world if no urgent and effective measures, including military are taken.

It is obvious that international terrorism is defeated in Syria, trying to compensate for this "victory" in the form of terrorist attacks in different countries. The head of the "The Fair Russia" faction Sergei Mironov considers that it's just the beginning what happened in Paris. He recalled at the briefing, held on the eve of the plenary session, that in September the group submitted a law-in-draft on additional control those citizens who for more than two months traveling to countries with increased terrorist threat. The law-in-draft gives special services the right to conduct, if necessary, an additional check of these people. The list of countries with increased terrorist threat must be approved by the President.

Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the establishment of an interdepartmental commission to combat the financing of terrorism. This decision was taken after it became officially known that the cause of death of the Russian airliner in Egypt was the attack.

The Commission has received the right to take the decision to freeze the accounts of organizations and individuals suspected of financing terrorists. Its composition has not been determined and will be submitted for consideration in the near future.
