45 year long textile history

The leading enterprise of the republic, the flagship of light industry JSC Tirotex celebrates the 45th anniversary of its foundation. A solemn meeting on the occasion of the festive date was held in the walls of the enterprise. The President of the Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba and Prime Minister Alexander Martynov came to congratulate the team of one of the largest textile companies in Europe and the CIS countries.

The company was founded in 1973 as the Tiraspol Cotton Production Association. It employed more than 15 thousand people in Soviet times. The impulse to the modern development of JSC Tirotex was received with the arrival of the investor. Currently, the company is part of the Sheriff holding. The amount of investment amounted to more than 180 million dollars. Today, the textile company supplies products manufactured in Pridnestrovie to 30 countries of the world, and is among the ten major taxpayers of the country.

The words of congratulations to the employees and veterans of the enterprise were addressed by the head of the legislature Alexander Shcherba. He began his speech with a rhetorical question.

Special words of appreciation sounded to the veterans of the company. They are in majority in the hall. Representatives of the younger generation work in the company. There are also labor dynasties. The company is constantly developing new technologies and even going to grow their own cotton. Most importantly, they do not forget to surprise Pridnestrovian and foreign consumers with new textile collections. The name "Tirotex" sounded in close connection with such ambiguous concepts as the pride of the republic, high quality, an example of successful production and high aesthetics of products in all congratulatory speeches. The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Shcherba, like most Pridnestrovians, was also among the company's textile admirers, noting that only this trademark is loved and chosen in his family.
