The Equipment for servicing solid waste landfills can be purchased at the expense of local eco-funds

Deputies of the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex Oleg Leontiev and Sergey Pisarenko proposed to supplement the Law of the PMR "On Environmental Protection". The norms proposed by parliamentarians will make it possible to purchase equipment for servicing municipal solid waste landfills at the expense of local (territorial) targeted budgetary environmental funds.

The parliamentarians supported the legislative initiative of their fellow deputies in two readings at once within the framework of one plenary session. The new norms will come into effect after signing by the President.

The state administrations of cities and regions have been seeking funds in the budgets or taking loans to purchase special equipment for servicing solid domestic waste landfills until now.
