“The Obnovlenie” parliamentary faction members’ meeting was held by tradition, on the eve of the plenary session (the agenda of the current one included 40 questions). Colleagues discussed in the course of it the most controversial and the most important legislations. This time was the same.
One of the legislations concerned the possibility of providing incentives to parents who lost their children during the armed conflict 1990-1992. Deputy Oleg Bayev presented this legislative initiative. It was decided to support the proposal of the colleague in the faction, and to adopt the law-in-draft in the first reading. In the course of the second one, according to members of the faction, they categorically need to define the category of pension beneficiaries.
“The Obnovlenie” parliamentary faction decided to support the initiative of the Vice-Speaker Galina Antyufeeva. She proposed to modify certain provisions of the Law "On universal military service". The law-in-draft is about deferment from service in the Armed Forces for students, receiving education outside the republic. Not only those who do it for the state quota, but also independently. This will allow every citizen who wants to realize their potential and opportunities to use their constitutional right to education.
Chairman of the faction Pyotr Pasat informed his colleagues about the planned parliamentary faction members’ meeting with the President. Deputies will have to determine preliminary topics and questions that they would like to discuss with the President of the Republic.
