The link between the authorities and society

Legislations "On the Public Chamber" and "On the basis of social control" were placed for consideration of the Supreme Council. The authors are deputies Igor Buga, Andrei Safonov, Sergei Khankevich and Pavel Shincariuc. Parliamentarians propose to legalize the status of the Public Chamber, the principles of its formation and basic functions. First of all - this is a public control over the activities of state authorities and local self-government, public examination of draft laws and regulations.

March 20 the new composition of the Public Chamber started. It included 34 people. Chairman of the Public Chamber was unanimously elected the deputy of the Provisional Supreme Council, the head of the Supreme Council of the House of Representatives of the 2nd convocation, a member of the consultative meeting, Doctor of Economics, Professor Vitaly Glebov.

In particular, at the legislative level will be enshrined, that the Public Chamber is formed out of 10 citizens of the Republic, approved by the President, the representatives of 15 administrative-territorial units of Pridnestrovie and 9 members of the consolidated public movement – All over Pridnestrovian national forum. According to Andrei Safonov, this principle radically democratizes the procedure of formation of a public body.

The main purpose of the Public Chamber, according to the legislators is to become a link between the government and society, to discuss urgent problems and issues that Pridnestrovians concern today, make public control effective. Then, Andrey Safonov says, it will be possible to say with confidence that our republic settle down to a course of the democracy.
