There was opened a memorial sign that laid the foundation of the future park in Larionov street in the capital. It will be called by name of the famous countryman, the great Russian artist Mikhail Fedorovich Larionov 135 anniversary of whose birth will be celebrated soon.

Mikhail Larionov was born June 3, 1881 in the city of Tiraspol, Kherson province. Here was artist's childhood in the fortress of Tiraspol, where his father served as a military doctor. Larionov moved to Moscow. Mikhail studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, Serov and Levitan taught him.

Opening the solemn ceremony, the head of the legislature of the republic Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked its organizers for the memory of the famous painter, famed for Tiraspol and Russia

Exhibition of reproductions of some of the world-famous paintings by the master was prepared in the frameworks of the event. Fabrics of Larionov "The Boulevard in Tiraspol", "The Window. Tiraspol" are now in the Tretyakov Gallery. Larionov served on front, was reserved for injury during World War I. Later he settled with his wife in France.

The honorable mission to open a memorial sign was given to the Chairman of the Supreme Council Vadim Krasnoselsky and chief specialist of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Moldova Sergey Skvortsov.

There was an exhibition of "Imitating Larionov" contestants’ paintings of young artists of Pridnestrovie, dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the Great Russian artist next to the works of the great countryman. Galina Antyufeeva handed diplomas and gifts to the winners of the contest organized by the Foundation "The Future of Pridnestrovie".
