History of the Arbitration Court of PMR has its origins in 1991. In the first Constitution of Pridnestrovie it means that "the resolution of economic disputes between enterprises, institutions and organizations is carried out by the Arbitration Court of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic". September 24 that year, the Supreme Council adopted a resolution on PMSSR appointment of the first President of the Court of Arbitration Ilya Milman. This date is considered the day of the formation of this important element of the judicial system.
The birthday institution celebrated its 24 years in operation. The day of formation of the state agency administering justice by resolving economic disputes in the presence of the republic's leadership analyzed the achievements and shortcomings, their causes and consequences.
Chairman Maria Miller summed up results of the Court of Arbitration for 8 months of this year. Her deputy Elena Luka indicated in her report to the management of relations in the sphere of control measures in the exercise of state supervision.
During 2015 the Arbitration Court received 1080 claims that a half times more than the same period last year. Almost 10% increase and the total number of cases. It is accordingly to the increased load on each of the 16 judges. Unfortunately, the marked increase is in the number of appeals.
Representatives of the Court of Arbitration actively cooperate with other authorities, including the Supreme Council. They prepare conclusions for legislations and legal examination of existing and proposed the introduction of standards. Serious work is being done on improving the Arbitration Procedure Code. Together it a New Code of Administrative Offences was created by joint efforts.
