The capital is preparing for its birthday

Tiraspol will celebrate its 231st birthday this Saturday. A solemn meeting was held in the building of the capital's state administration on this occasion. It was attended by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Rosenberg and parliamentarians.

There were those in the hall who work every day to improve the capital and its development. The head of the capital's state administration Oleg Dovgopol spoke about achievements, current affairs and plans for the near future.

The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky congratulated the city on the 231st birthday. Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about the history of Tiraspol, which is rich in various events. He noted that the second birthday of the Pridnestrovian capital can be considered April 12, 1944 - the Day of Liberation from the Nazi invaders. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic paid special attention to the current transformation of Tiraspol, emphasizing that the capital is becoming prettier and becoming more and more comfortable for citizens, corresponding to its status.

The President presented the capital with a special gift for his birthday. Tiraspol was awarded the Order of Catherine the Great. There are Pridnestrovians who have been awarded this recently established award in the republic, but the order numbered 001 was presented by the head of state Vadim Krasnoselsky to Tiraspol for the great contribution of city residents to the preservation of historical and cultural heritage and traditions, development and strengthening of economic and social potential. The award adorned the flag of the capital.

Parliamentarians who represent the interests of Tiraspol residents in the Supreme Council congratulated the capital on the holiday.

State awards were presented to those who work in the city and make it even more comfortable at the ceremonial meeting. Utility workers, signalmen, textile workers, cooks, electricians, nurses and mechanics received orders and medals from the hands of the President.
