Vice Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva and Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev took part in the XI European Forum. It was held two days in Brussels on the site of the European Parliament. The theme of the forum is "The European Union 2017 and the Russian Revolution of 1917: unlearned Lessons".
Participants in the thematic discussions were well-known Russian and European politicians, diplomats and experts, including Russia's permanent representative to the EU, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Vladimir Chizhov, Foreign Minister Dmitry Medvedev, member of the Federation Council Olga Timofeeva, State Duma deputies Vyacheslav Nikonov and Konstantin Zatulin, as well as a number of deputies of the European Parliament.
Within the framework of the event the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev made a report in the discussion section "Self-determination of nations: from 1917 to 2017". The diplomat elaborated on the historical and legal basis for the independence of the PMR.
Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR Galina Antyufeeva took part in the round table "Conflict of the West and Russia: 2017". She spoke about the impact of the geopolitical confrontation between Russia and the West on the situation around Pridnestrovie, as well as on the foreign policy guidelines of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The Tran Pridnestrovian delegation during the visit, held a number of working meetings in Brussels.
