The Bendery Stadium Opening!

This Saturday a big sports festival took place in Bendery - the stadium "Dynamo" was solemnly opened after the reconstruction. The main sports facility of the city for a long time was in desolation. The president of the republic Vadim Krasnoselsky set the task of returning the city stadium to life before the leadership of the profile civil service and city authorities at the beginning of last year. The task was completed: the stadium football field, stands and rooms were was restored, modern running tracks were equipped, the building of the city pool, bordering the stadium was repaired. Now the city stadium is open not only for athletes. This can come to those for whom sport is not a profession, but an integral part of a healthy lifestyle.

The President with his wife, the leadership of the Supreme Council and the Government of the PMR, representatives of state authorities and administration, as well as thousands of Bendery people and guests of the city were the guests of the opening ceremony.

Specialists and workers who took an active part in the restoration of the city stadium, received state awards from the hands of the President.

The stadium "Dynamo" became the venue for the football match on the opening day. "Tighina" from Bendery hosted football players from the city of Ungheni. The honorable right to make the first hit the ball was granted to the President.
