The deadline for vehicle owners tax payment has been extended until the end of 2021

Deputies of the PMR Supreme Council in the course of the plenary session adopted today in two readings amendments to the law on state support measures during the period of emergency and quarantine, which were sent by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky in the mode of legislative necessity. The President proposed to extend this year the deadline for paying tax from vehicle owners for public road transport organizations that regularly transport passengers and luggage until the 31st of December. Technical inspection of vehicles of this category will be carried out without presenting a receipt (payment orders) for payment during 2020 and 2021.

The parliamentarians emphasized that such a measure of support in the taxation of road transport enterprises has already been applied and in the context of a decrease in passenger traffic and a decrease in economic efficiency in 2020, it has confirmed its relevance. According to the relevant department, last year passenger traffic fell to 42% from 2019.

The law will apply to legal relations that arose from January 1, 2021 after being signed by the PMR President.
