Sport - the health of the nation

Athletes and coaches with the best results in 2017 were honored today in Tiraspol. The award ceremony was attended by President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Public Associations, Sport, Information and Youth Policy Igor Buga, representatives of the executive branch of government.

During the ceremony, the titanic work of the athletes, their dedication and love of their land was celebrated. All this does not remain without the high appreciation and attention of the leadership of the republic.

The Pridnestrovian sport continues the glorious sports traditions of the Soviet Union. According to the President, today it is necessary to develop mass sport. The GTO (ready for labor and defense) movement revives in Pridnestrovie. In accordance with the introduced this year in the current legislation changes, next year it is planned to introduce the voluntary GTO standards in all educational institutions.

The best athletes of the year were awarded with commemorative coins "National anthem" and certificates "The best athlete of the PMR". Coaches received from the hands of the President the certificate "The best coach of the PMR".

Ten best athletes were awarded contracts for the athletes-instructors of the Republican Olympic Training Center for 2018.

The awarding ceremony was completed with a musical gift. Winter compositions for participants of the event were performed by the state choir led by Tatiana Tverdokhleb.
