Sport as motivation

"Ready for labor and defense": the physical culture movement in the republic, popular in the Soviet years, revives. Amendments to the law "On Physical Culture and Sport" were adopted by the Supreme Council in the first reading. The essence of the legislative initiative introduced by a group of deputies is to introduce GTO standards in schools. The order of their passing will be voluntary. There are certain preferences for those who master the standards, for example, when entering public higher education institutions.

This practice became widespread in recent years in the Russian Federation. In Pridnestrovie, the mechanism of GTO standards will also preserve the principle of voluntariness.

During the plenary session, the law-in-draft was supported by the deputy corps. It is planned to consider it in the second reading mode in the near future.
