Sport for children

A mass athletic run was conducted in the village of Parkany on the occasion of the International Children's Day. Over 130 people have overcome distance of 1 mile (which is 1600 meters). Schoolchildren, professional athletes and just lovers of active lifestyle participated. The initiator of the sports and festive event was the public organization "OPEL-CLUB Pridnestrovie", the support was provided by representatives of the local administration and the deputy of the Supreme Council in this constituency, Ivan Nedelkov.

Among the organizers of the event was Vasily Nikolaev, Merited Trainer of the PMR, Master of Sports of the USSR, participant of international competitions. His record for 10 km in Moldova 40 years ago, is still not beaten.

Issue of breastplates, obligatory warm-up and solemn construction. A sports festival began not accidentally here, on the territory of the Parkany Secondary School No. 3.

Together with the smallest athletes, 1 mile was run by the main initiator of the sports festival, the chairman of the NGO OPEL-CLUB Pridnestrovie, a spokesman for the Supreme Council and a resident of the Parkany village, Aleksandr Prodanov.

All the participants were greeted with stormy applause at the finish. Among those who have overcome the distance with the children are the honored trainer of the MSSR and the PMR, the veteran of track and field athletics Oleg Khashchevsky. Thanks to sports in his 80 years he feels young.

Each participant is commemorated by a pennant for children, and children are given a sweet present from the deputy of the Supreme Council Ivan Nedelkov.

The parliamentarian presented awards to the winners and prize-winners, wished the children further sports achievements and happy summer vacations.
