Veteran-deputies gathered today for its second meeting. The vice-speaker of Pridnestrovian parliament Alexander Shcherba deputies presented in a solemn ceremony the first identification of members of the Consultative Assembly under the Chairman of the Supreme Council. The first president, the head of pioneering Deputies Igor Smirnov reminded the Council that this day marked the 24th anniversary of the formation of the People's Territorial Guard.
Chairman of the Government Pavel Prokudin addressed to the founders and defenders of the Republic with words of gratitude.
Respect for the lessons of the past, the continuity of generations, the unity, the search for compromise for the sake of the future - these themes were the basis of discussion at the meeting topical issues. There were listed two of them on the agenda: the legislative consolidation of the congress of deputies of all levels of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, of the Supreme Council interaction with the president and the government.
Speaker said that all branches of government must act within the legal framework. In accordance with Art. 97 of the Constitution the Government is obliged to give opinions on draft laws submitted by the Supreme Council, but in practice it does not happen. Vadim Krasnoselsky supposes that in the current difficult situation branches of government must be united, not to interfere, but to help to work.
Vice-speaker of parliament Galina Antyufeeva is also convinced in the necessity to work together. She submitted the initiative to approval of deputies of the VI convocation, regulating mechanism of the Supreme Council of the interaction with the President, in particular, prescribe the terms for consideration and signing of the constitutional laws. They talked that the practice of sending a law-in-draft to Parliament in the regime of legislative necessity is not conducive to the effective work of legislators.
Veteran-deputies expressed their vision of addressing this pressing issue.
The members of the Consultative Assembly recommended that Supreme Council adopt the proposed initiative after discussion at the request of the Vice-Speaker of the submitted initiatives.
Members of the Consultative Assembly approved adopted oi first reading a law-in-draft "On the representative bodies of state power and local self-government". The initiative, developed by Oleg Vasilaty, involves the creation of legal mechanisms which will be governed by a single system of representative bodies of state power. In addition, the author proposed to legalize the status of congresses of deputies of all levels of PMR.
Members of the Consultative Assembly paid attention to the discussed in society relevant topics. They talked about the situation on the currency market, the large industrial enterprises, in particular MMZ. It was decided that these matters will be included in the agenda of the next meeting. It is planned in two weeks.
