The Speaker held a reception of citizens

Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov held a reception of citizens on personal matters today. This format of meetings with voters is being resumed after three years of quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic restrictions. It is worth noting that communication has moved mainly to an online format since 2020.

People from Tiraspol, Rybnitsa and the village of Krasnogorka of Grigoriopol district came to the speaker's reception. Issues were raised relating to land disputes, road repairs, lack of transport and other issues of a personal and general nature. The Speaker of the Parliament gave answers to all, based on the norms of the current legislation.

The topic of granting benefits to such a category of citizens as children of war was raised. It was voiced by the defender of the PMR Vladimir Kasyanenko in the course of the reception. In his response, Speaker Alexander Korshunov noted that financial support is needed to provide new benefits. At present, when due to the external situation the republic, in particular, enterprises are experiencing difficulties in exporting products and replenishing the state treasury with taxes, the state is not yet able to take on additional social obligations. In addition, according to the Chairman of the Supreme Council, people born during the Great Patriotic War should not be separated from those who were born a few years earlier or later in order to avoid conflict situations in society in the search for justice. He emphasized that the state would consider options for providing assistance to all elderly citizens if financially possible.

Yury Glotin, a chess coach from Rybnitsa, came to meet with the speaker. He said that a unique chess center operates at the Rybnitsa sports school. The applicant asked for assistance in arranging a computer class in this center, as well as help in creating a website for teaching children online how to play chess and holding tournaments. The Speaker of Parliament supported the voiced ideas. As for providing computers, Alexander Korshunov intends to discuss this issue with the deputies of the Supreme Council from Rybnitsa. It is possible that the Fund for the Execution of Orders of Voters, the costs of which are annually included in the republican budget, will finance the purchase of the necessary equipment. The development of a chess website can be taken up by the Ministry of Digital Development, the Speaker suggested. Alexander Korshunov assured that he would discuss this issue with the Chairman of the Government.
