The Parliament Speaker took part in the laying flowers ceremony at the Memorial of Glory

Tiraspol today celebrates 228 years since its foundation. Mass events are not held due to quarantine. But the leadership of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and Tiraspol visited the Memorial of Glory in the morning. The PMR Supreme Council was represented by the Speaker Alexander Korshunov. Flower-laying ceremony was held at the Memorial Eternal Flame, monuments and graves of the defenders of the republic. Their memory was honored with a minute of silence.

Chairman of the Supreme Council emphasized that the capital of Pridnestrovie is attractive for many nationalities and cultures, and the secret of this attraction is in the openness and friendliness of the inhabitants.

Festive liturgies are being held in all churches of the capital today. Tiraspol celebrates the City Day together with the Orthodox holiday of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos.
