Speaker of the PMR Parliament: the Supreme Council coped with all the tasks in 2020

Deputies of the PMR Supreme Council adopted 248 laws in 2020. The work of the Parliament has online for the first time, due to the spread of the new coronavirus. The activities of the PMR Supreme Council in 2020 were commented on by the speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov.

The Supreme Council held 37 plenary sessions. Deputies considered 539 issues. New laws were also. Among them there are laws "On state support for young families for the purchase of housing", "On state support during the state of emergency in 2020", "On microfinance activities and microfinance organizations", "On land reclamation in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic", "On the republican budget for 2021 "and others. State target programs have been approved in the sphere of health care, archival industry, fire protection and forestry. Most of the changes to existing laws were made in connection with the coronavirus pandemic in the republic.

Separately, the Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov focused on the interaction of the Parliament with the executive authorities of the republic.

Deputies of the Supreme Council under the conditions of the state of emergency and quarantine restrictions continued to work on lawmaking and fulfilling the orders of voters during 2020.

2096 people applied to the Supreme Council through the department for work with citizens' appeals and archival affairs in 2020. The specialized committees and commissions considered 1179 appeals from Pridnestrovians. We remind you that due to quarantine restrictions, applications are accepted in paper form (they can be left at the entrance to the building of the PMR Armed Forces) and in electronic form in the section “Citizens' Appeals” on the website of the PMR Supreme Council.
