Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers! Dear residents of Bendery!

I congratulate you on the 77th anniversary of the liberation of Bendery from the German-Romanian invaders on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and on my own behalf!

August 23, 1944 is a special day in the history of the city of Bendery, this is a great page in our history, its pride and glory.

The war brought severe trials, suffering and grief, grievous losses and irreparable losses, as evidenced by the mass graves in almost every settlement of our republic.

The historical memory that we cherish makes it possible to realize the true value of a peaceful, creative life.

Turning to the heroic past, we will always draw on moral and spiritual strength to faithfully serve the Fatherland, preserve and pass it on to future generations.

No matter how much time has passed, the memory of the great feat of the soldiers who liberated Bendery, selfless workers who revived the city, will remain with us forever.

On this solemn day I sincerely wish the veterans, all the residents of Bendery good health, happiness, peace and kindness!

Eternal memory to the soldiers who defeated the enemy who protected our future, and eternal glory to the soldiers-liberators!
