A meeting of the Presidential Commission on Disabled was held in the capital, according to the News of Pridnestrovie. The decree on its creation in October 2017 was signed by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky. The commission includes representatives of state authorities, leaders and members of public organizations representing persons with disabilities of various categories. The work is structured in such a way that the meeting of the commission takes place once a quarter. The first one took place in January. A number of instructions was drawn up based on the results of the two previous meetings. An analysis of their implementation was held during the meeting. The meeting was attended by Sergey Cheban, chairman of the parliamentary committee on social policy and Ruslan Gareev, member of the committee on the Committee on Public Associations, Sports, Information and Youth Policy.
Commission members discussed the proposed changes to the Building Regulations and Rules during the acceptance and commissioning of construction sites.
They talked about the opening Day Center for Children with Special Needs for Vital Activities in Rybnitsa.
A part of the construction work will be financed under the housing maintenance program for 2018. The plans include replacement of window blocks, design and construction of an elevator shaft, installation of elevator equipment for the transportation of disabled children. The rest of the work will be carried out in 2019.
The preparation of sign language interpreters is another topic of discussion. The Ministry of Education together with the PSU is doing a lot of work in this direction. It is planned to start preparing professional personnel for correctional institutions of Pridnestrovie next year.
