The Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie summed up the results of its work for 2023

The Regional Conference of Russian compatriots of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was held at the Russia Hotel, at which members of the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie summed up the results of their work in 2023 on the eve of the New Year. 

Viorika Kokhtareva said that among the events organized by the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie, the 10th anniversary republican competition “Faithful Sons of Russia”, the traditional competition of the Russian community of the city of Tiraspol “Bright Sunday of Christ”, the competition of the Russian community of the city of Bendery “Vivat, Russia!” and this is just a small list.

The collection “The Name of Victory” was published in 2023 with the assistance of the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie, which contains materials about the life and military path of distinguished participants in the Great Patriotic War, whose destinies are connected with Pridnestrovie. Plans for the next year, 2024, were announced at the conference.

Galina Antyufeyeva, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Chairman of the Russian community of the city of Tiraspol “Russian House”, congratulated the public activists on the successful completion of the outgoing year.

The Vice-Speaker of the Pridnestrovian parliament recalled that today people of 72 nationalities live in the republic.

The work of the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova were noted. Embassy Counselor Alexander Andreev spoke to the public at the conference On behalf of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov.

Advisor to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova, Alexander Andreev noted that the work carried out by the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie helps Russian compatriots living in Pridnestrovie feel a living connection with their great Motherland.

Representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo were among the conference guests. The acting head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Moldova Artyom Naumenkov emphasized that the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie managed to implement all planned activities almost in full despite all the difficulties in 2023.

Leaders of Russian communities in cities and districts, activists and members of organizations of Russian compatriots at the end of the conference were awarded diplomas and letters of gratitude from the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo.
