The Union of Russian Communities summed up the results of the outgoing year

The Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie traditionally summed up the results of its activities at the end of the year. The Chairperson of the organization Viorika Kokhtareva said that the outgoing year was memorable for its active interaction with youth and volunteer organizations, including the “Renewal” (Obnovlenie) party and the public movement Civil Initiative. Various events were held with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova.

This year, the Union published the second book, “The Constitution of Russia and Pridnestrovie for Boys and Girls, as well as Their Parents”. The first edition, printed 3 years ago, quickly found its readers. The circulation of the new edition is 750 copies. In addition, a collection of children's drawings on the theme of family was published. Children sent their works as part of the “Loyal Sons of Russia” competition.

Advisor to the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova Alexander Andreev noted the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Pridnestrovian cities and villages from the German-Romanian invaders among the significant ones.

Russian compatriots from Pridnestrovie went to the World Congress of Compatriots “Together with Russia” this year. The experience and connections gained should bring new projects to life, noted the Advisor to the Russian Embassy in Moldova and emphasized that the Russian embassy is always ready for cooperation. The Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council thanked the chairmen of Russian communities of cities and districts and all activists of the Union for the work done this year.

Galina Antyufeeva emphasized that more than 72 nationalities live in peace and harmony in Pridnestrovie. The leadership of Pridnestrovie is working to preserve history and patriotic education of youth, and most importantly, everything possible is being done to maintain peace on the Pridnestrovian land, the vice-speaker of the parliament noted. Galina Antyufeeva commented on the current situation related to the possible termination of gas supplies to the republic.

The Advisor to the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova Alexander Andreev addressed words of support to the Pridnestrovians represented by public figures present at the summing up of the year.

The Union of Russian Communities also plans to hold various competitions for children in Pridnestrovie, a festival of Russian culture of Russian compatriots of Pridnestrovie will be held in 2025, and there will be projects under the program of the Moscow Government. The Human Rights Center at the Union of Russian Communities of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic will continue its work. More than 600 people contacted the center this year. People mainly raised the issue of the work of the consular office in Tiraspol and the issue of documentation.
