Vice-Speaker Galina Antyufeeva presented to the colleagues the legislation, drafted in conjunction with parliamentarian Grigory Dyachenko regarding amendments to the law “On passport of citizen of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”. Their essence is to provide an opportunity for citizens of the republic who receive Pridnestrovian passport to leave the Soviet one. The initiative of the deputies is based on numerous voter appeals.
The proposed amendment to the law stipulate the obligation of the authorized executive body of the state to return the passport of a citizen of the USSR at the request of a citizen. Cancellation of the “old” passport will be made by a stamp “Canceled” on its first page.
Only those who will apply for a Pridnestrovian passport at present will be able to return the Soviet passport, Galina Antyufeeva focused the attention of the deputies.
Parliamentarians unanimously supported the initiative of colleagues, noting its importance and relevance. Amendments to the law “On the passport of a citizen of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” were adopted by the deputy corps in two readings at once. The document was sent for signature to the President.
