Meeting with the PMR President

Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, took part in the working meeting held today by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky. The current state of affairs in the towns and districts of Pridnestrovie was discussed, the presidential press service reports. The President gave instructions to the heads of the Government, ministries and Heads of state administrations related to providing assistance to citizens arriving in Pridnestrovie from neighboring states. The theme of the implementation of the Pridnestrovian state development programs in the new conditions was also touched upon. Despite the fact that the action of many had to be suspended, life goes on, said Vadim Krasnoselsky. The Capital Investment Fund 2022 program is still being implemented. The President plans to visit facilities where repair and construction work is underway. The PMR President emphasized that it is necessary in the current circumstances to find an opportunity to update the infrastructure of settlements.

It is important in the current situation to focus on domestic production, noted at the workshop. The President recalled that for several years he had pointed out the expediency of switching to such types of road repair, which are least dependent on imports, for example. We are talking about concreting and paving with paving slabs of domestic production. Both options involve the use of local raw materials. Today they discussed which sites can get into this program. Plans, schedules and limits are being reviewed. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the implementation of these works will make it possible to employ a significant number of citizens. Labor hands will be in demand both in road works and in the production of paving slabs and other materials.
