Meeting under the PMR President

The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the course of the meeting at the presidential administration ordered at the beginning of the work week an extended meeting to be held in the near future with the participation of the Supreme Council and representatives of the PMR Government, with the involvement of heads of state administrations of cities and regions of the republic, directors and specialists of natural monopolies. It is planned to discuss aspects related to inter-tariff differences.

The heads of towns and districts reported on the work being done last week, as well as on what will need to be done in the coming 2024. So, the head of Bendery Roman Ivanchenko drew attention to the need to promptly begin the reconstruction of the sewage pumping station, noting that it would take three years to complete the work. Now It is necessary to find funds for the development of project documentation. Another request from the head of the administration of Bendery is to provide assistance in financing the reclamation of the solid waste landfill. The total amount of upcoming costs is about two million rubles. The work is expected to be carried out in several stages. The task is not one year. A similar request came from the head of Dubossary district Ruslan Chaban. He said that the problem of recultivation of a landfill near the village of Goyany is urgent. The meeting participants spoke in general about the existing problems of spontaneous landfills in rural areas, as well as the advisability of a centralized approach to the creation of authorized temporary storage sites for solid household waste and the importance of concluding agreements with local residents for garbage removal. The issue of reconstruction of the city water pipeline was among the problematic aspects identified by the head of Dubossary.

The President gave instructions to carry out control measures to identify facts of unjustified price increases. The President is receiving alarming signals in this regard. The work will involve specialized units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development. Vadim Krasnoselsky called on trade enterprises not to use the difficult foreign economic situation for personal gain.

They announced in the course of the meeting their readiness for Epiphany plunge. Vadim Krasnoselsky focused on ensuring security and creating the necessary conditions for conducting Orthodox rituals. He emphasized at the same time that rescuers need to control the situation not only in specially designated places with equipped swimming pools, but where citizens can gather on Epiphany holidays according to a habit that has been established for years. The PMR President addressed Pridnestrovians with a recommendation not to take risks and refuse to swim in water reservoirs if their health does not allow it.

Vadim Krasnoselsky announced in the course of the scheduled working meeting that the PMR President Message announcement to public and administrative authorities is on the January 22nd of January. This yearly event, the purpose of which is to set goals for the year, will be held via video conference.
