The visit to Kamenka completed regular presidential tour of the republic. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting to discuss the results of inspection visits and discussion meetings in Kamenka district. Instructions were given at the meeting today in response to the requests received in the course of the visit to Kamenka. Thus, the reconstruction of the spectator stands at the October stadium will be carried out, running tracks will be equipped, a bus will be purchased for cultural and sports institutions of Kamenka district. The project of a sports complex near the local technical school, which is located next to Wittgenstein Park, provides for the creation of a mini-football and basketball-volleyball fields, a workout zone, treadmills and tennis tables. This facility will combine a park and leisure area and an educational institution.
Vadim Krasnoselsky discussed the necessity of resuming periodic visits of specialists from the MREO (motor vehicle registration and driver examination division) of Rybnitsa to Kamenka with the Minister of Internal Affairs. Such visits occurred monthly previously. The problem of illegal transportation of passengers was discussed, which creates unhealthy competition for bona fide entrepreneurs and carries risks for the safety of passengers. Control in this area will be strengthened.
Questions were asked about the prospects for road works in Kamenka district. A special commission will assess the situation on specific sections of roads in the villages of Valya-Adynke, Konstantinovka, Grushka, Podoyma and Kuzmin. The Minister of Economic Development said that the problematic section of Rashkovo – Valya-Adynca road was included in the work plan for the current year. Sergey Obolonik noted, that asphalt concrete pavement is not required everywhere, many areas need blading operation. Such works are financed separately from construction and repair works. Approximately 45 million rubles are required for blading operation in Kamenka district, but at present the budget provides for only half of this amount.
The problem of water supply is acute in several villages of Kamenka district. Centralized water supply is not organized everywhere, water comes from some existing wells, and studies of artesian water show a high level of fluoride in it. Exploration work is underway to find safe sources of drinking water. Such a source was found near the village of Grushka, the possibility of supplying this water to other settlements is being considered. The possibility of using river water with the help of a special station for purification and treatment is being explored. According to the President, targeted programs should be in place in the field of water supply and it is necessary to separate the repair of existing systems and the construction of new water supply networks.
The topic of providing rural medical institutions of the region with specialists was raised in the course of the meeting. Kristina Albul said, that six graduates of the medical college living in Kamenka district will receive diplomas this summer. The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of taking action at the local level to keep young people, especially graduates, in their area of origin.
The President confirmed the effectiveness of the capital investment program and the need to continue it. The Supreme Council adopted recently amendments to the Capital investment fund 2023, and now local organizations should conduct competitive procedures among construction contractors for objects additionally included in the program. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the necessity of preparing requests for the formation of Capital investment fund 2024, the press service of the PMR President reports.
