On the development of the Dubassary HPP

Deputies of the Supreme Council took part in a conversation initiated by the President on the development of the State Unitary Enterprise Dubassary HPP. One of the amendments to the draft republican law for the next year proposed to allocate an additional 7 million rubles to the company. However, in the process of legislative work, it was decided not to consider it until the meeting on this topic was held by the President of the Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky. Heads of the hydroelectric power station, other enterprises of the energy complex of Pridnestrovie, as well as representatives of the parliament and the government gathered.

The essence of the problem under discussion is that several years ago, 25.8 million rubles were withdrawn from the company's profits with a return guarantee for road works on the eve of the 25th anniversary of Pridnestrovie. Even at this moment, the money of the station, which the administration has accumulated on the deposit account for two years, has not been returned, although it needs it to carry out the modernization. As the director of the state unitary enterprise Dubassary HPP Boris Herman noted, the station commissioned 64 years ago did not know the reconstruction.

The meeting participants agreed that the debt to the enterprise should be repaid, and the modernization should be gradually implemented. An appropriate program should be developed for this purpose. The President emphasized that formulating a program, it is necessary to optimize expenses as much as possible, highlighting priorities. If parliamentarians or members of the government see the necessity, it is necessary to direct the Accounts Chamber to the enterprise, the President recommended, noting that, speaking of the capacity of the hydropower plant, the issue of the country's energy security is raised.
