Improving existing legislation

Deputies Igor Buga, Andrei Safonov and Paul Sincariuc initiated a law-in-draft amending the law "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Associations". The proposed initiative aims to establish a list of places where it is allowed to conduct services. In addition to religious buildings and adjacent territory, freely conduct religious services in places of pilgrimage, at cemeteries, as well as in premises with the consent of tenants. Not less important is the norm of statutory definition of places where it is allowed to distribute religious literature. In addition, during the preaching and missionary activities in public places, organizers must inform the authorities in advance. Various foreign organizations, according to the law-in-draft are forbidden to carry out activities of this nature.

Violations include fines, the amount of which is prescribed in the Administrative Code. Ordinary citizens who have violated the law will have to pay a fine of 20 minimum wage, for officials it will vary from 20 to 40 minimum wage, for organizations - from 50 to 100 minimum wage.
