Ivan Abramov Deputy of the State Duma from the LDPR faction, who participated in a single voting day, September 13, 2015 in the election of the governor of the Amur region, contributed to the lower house of the Russian parliament a law-in-draft that proposes to give the right of election participants to contact the Election Commission with a request for re-counting of votes at individual sites. The amendments are introduced to the law "On Basic Guarantees of Electoral Rights and the right to participate in a referendum of citizens of the Russian Federation". Deputy initiator considers it necessary to establish that the number of polling stations of referendum polling stations where possible recount of votes of referendum participants on the treatment of the electoral association, candidate, will not exceed 5% of the total number of polling stations. The number of such sites cannot be less than one polling station. Recount of votes may take place before the establishment of the higher commission of the voting, determining the election results and drawing up its final protocol.
