Improving the work of the Parliament

11.03.2020

The Supreme Council is improving its work. The deputies in the course of today plenary meeting discussed a package of legislations that should streamline the work of parliament and optimize the timing of consideration of legislations. The authors of legislative initiatives - Alexander Korshunov and Grigory Dyachenko - propose amending the constitutional laws "On the status of Deputy of the PMR Supreme Council" and "On the PMR Government", as well as adopt the new Rules of the Supreme Council of the PMR. Deputy Grigory Dyachenko emphasized that there were a lot of amendments and additions to the Regulation, so they decided not to amend the existing one, but to develop a new law-in-draft.

The authors of the law-in-draft suggest reducing the time for consideration of legislations so that they can be submitted to the plenary meeting more quickly. Now this is given at least 30 days. In today's world, everyone uses computers, e-mails. The workflow has accelerated significantly, which is why it is proposed to reduce the time for consideration of legislations.

Changes in the law on the government are also associated with the acceleration of the joint activities of deputies and executive authorities.

The proposed changes in the work of the Supreme Council are also associated with a reduction in the number of deputies to 33 people. Today in plenary session, three legislative initiatives to improve the work of the Supreme Council were adopted in the first reading. By the second reading, they will be finalized subject to amendments and proposals.
