A coordination meeting was held at the PMR Procurator's Office to increase the activity of the administrations of correctional institutions by sending materials to the court about the conditional early release of prisoners serving their sentences from imprisonment. Among its participants there are Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva, Minister of Justice Alexander Tumba, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court Natalia Vlasenko, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the chiefs of correctional institutions of the republic, employees of the central apparatus of the Prosecutor's Office of the PMR, prosecutors of Tiraspol and Grigoriopol.
In the course of the meeting, an analysis was made of the application of the conditional early release mechanism for convicts from further serving sentences. At the same time, the main emphasis was placed on the fact that the institution of conditional early release should be an incentive for the convicts to develop on the path of correction.
Prosecutor of the Republic Anatoly Guretsky proposed to continue joint work to improve legislation on the application of parole. In his opinion, the procedure for processing materials on granting conditional early release, as well as determining the criteria on the basis of which it can be stated that the convict was on the path of correction and, accordingly, there is no need to continue serving sentence.
