Social justice restored

Social justice will be restored. Children with disabilities will receive food packages or cash compensation for the days they did not attend school. During the implementation of the mechanism for the provision of food sets for students in education, the procedure for providing the same guarantee to disabled children remained unregulated. This is a period of quarantine when special educational institutions did not function. However, all these children are entitled to free meals. This also applies to those disabled children who are always at home. Deputies of the Supreme Council in two readings, adopted law-in-draft with amendments and additions to the law "On measures of state support in connection with the introduction of an emergency and restrictive measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection caused by a new type of COVID-19 virus in 2020". Deputies Alexander Korshunov and Oleg Petrik made a legislative initiative.

After signing by the President and the entry into force of this law, its effect will extend to the period from June 16. That is, from the moment of the end of the state of emergency and the onset of quarantine measures.

All disabled children who attend specialized educational institutions or study remotely in educational institutions will receive food packages until the end of quarantine, like all benefit children.
