Social Policy in Action

Citizens of retirement age who live in the republic on the basis of a long-term registration will be provided with the entire list of benefits for Pridnestrovian pensioners. Addendum is made to the law "On Social Protection of Veterans and Persons of Retirement Age". The law-in-draft of the deputy of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva is supported by parliamentarians in the final reading.

This is another addendum to this law. Earlier, privileges for payment of public services and travel in public transport were provided to pensioners who are citizens of the PMR, permanently residing in the republic for a long-term registration, receiving a pension of a foreign state.

Another legislative initiative of a social nature is the addition of the norms of the Labor Code. A member of the Supreme Council, Mikhail Burla is the author. The parliamentarian suggested that the employer be required to provide annual paid holidays to one of the parents raising a disabled child at a convenient time.

Following the consideration of the law-in-draft, the legislation was adopted by the deputy corps in the first reading.
