The social support for the indigent

On May 16, the Supreme Council adopted in the second and final reading the law-in-draft "On monthly compensation for certain categories of pensioners of the PMR", initiated by the President. It is aimed at increasing the level of social protection of the poor in the republic. In accordance with the adopted document, starting from May 1, non-working pensioners will receive surcharges, the total amount of payments and monthly compensation of which does not exceed the double minimum amount of the old-age pension.

As you know, at the moment its size is 616 rubles. In other words, non-working citizens whose pension does not exceed 1 232 rubles will have the right to receive compensation. However, there will not be more than this amount, the size of the pension, taking into account the increase. For example, if a pensioner receives 1000 rubles, the surcharge will be 100 rubles. But if the amount of the pension is 1200 rubles, then the compensation will be 32 rubles.

The right to monthly compensation, according to the law passed by parliamentarians, has about 30 thousand people. These are citizens who are registered in the city (regional) centers of social insurance and social protection, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of State Security, other ministries and departments.

About 24 million rubles will be allocated from the republican budget this year for the payment of monthly compensation, which will have a permanent character.

Today, the law "On monthly compensation for certain categories of the PMR pensioners" adopted by the people's deputies was signed by the President.
