Some types of benefits will be preserved for orphans and children left without parental care who studied at a hospital and were fully supported by the state, but went on leave to care for a child under 3 years old. The Supreme Council adopted the law-in-draft "On Amendments to the Law of the PMR "On Additional Guarantees for the Social Protection of Orphans and Children Left without Parental Care" in the second final reading. Its authors were the deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens.
According to the accepted norms, orphan students who have gone on parental leave will continue to receive a 50% discount on utilities and pay a monthly allowance for food, an annual allowance for the purchase of clothes, shoes and soft equipment, a monthly allowance for pocket expenses, stipend. Benefits will be provided until the age of 25, but not older. The law-in-draft will enter into force on the 1st of March.
The law-in-draft “On Amendments to Certain Laws of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” was adopted in two readings at once at the plenary session today, which regulates the procedure for paying a survivor's pension to children who are fully supported by the state.
As the Minister for Social Protection and Labor of the PMR Elena Kulichenko told the deputies when presenting the law-in-draft, we are talking about pupils of the Suvorov military school, the Cadet Corps and the School of the Olympic Reserve. There are 74 children from this category in the republic. They received a survivor's pension in the amount of 50% of the assigned one until now.
The adopted law-in-draft fixes the norm on the payment to the pupils of the above-mentioned schools, who are fully supported by the state, a pension for the loss of a breadwinner or a social pension in full (100% of the assigned pension). The law will enter into force on the first day of the month following the month of its official publication.
