The PMR Supreme Council Presidium meeting was held on Tuesday, October 17. Speaker of Parliament Alexander Korshunov proposed postponing the plenary session scheduled for October 18 to next week – October 25, due to the small number of legislations included in the agenda. The heads of parliamentary committees and commissions supported the proposal. The agenda of the plenary meeting on October 25 was supplemented by almost three dozen legislations today. They were prepared by the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance for consideration by the parliamentary corps in the first or second readings. There are changes to the law “On Customs Tariff”, “On Procurement”, “On Corporate Income Tax”, changes to the Code of Administrative Offenses and to the Resolution of the PMR Supreme Council “On approval of the Concept of Budget and Tax Policy for 2024 and the Medium Term” among them. Thus, the head of the specialized committee Victor Guzun proposes to amend the laws “Special tax regime – simplified taxation system” and “Special tax regime – patent taxation system”, which will adjust the norm determining how many hired workers individual entrepreneurs can attract under a civil law contract. The Supreme Council will consider the package of legislations in the first reading. Changes will be made to the state program for the development of tourism in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The Presidium voted to withdraw a number of legislations from consideration by committees on the initiative of the authors of legislative initiatives today.
