The Parliamentary Presidium meeting took place

Online meeting of the Parliamentary Presidium is held traditionally on Tuesday in the Supreme Council. The meeting was chaired by Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov. There were about 15 issues on the agenda.

Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Victor Guzun proposed that the Presidium supplement the agenda of the plenary meeting on November 15 with legislations considered by the committee in the first reading. First of all, this is the draft of the main financial document of the republic – the law “On the Republican Budget for 2024” and the law-in-draft “On the Unified State Social Insurance Fund for 2024”. The 2024 budget will be traditionally socially oriented. The trend of financing primarily socially protected expenses continues. We are talking about wages, pensions, benefits and financial assistance. Deputies of the Supreme Council in the course of the plenary meeting, will study the parameters, ask questions to official representatives of the Government, and make decisions on the tables of amendments for acceptance and rejection prepared by the relevant Committee. The relevant Committee on Economic Policy considered in the first reading the law-in-draft on the budget for next year at the end of last week, before which the law-in-draft was studied by all parliamentary committees. Meeting on the draft budget 2024 with the leaders of the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the Supreme Council, as well as the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance and the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance was held by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky today on the 14th of November. According to the President's website, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that this year work on the main financial document is proceeding calmly. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic spoke about constructive interaction between the legislative and executive branches of government when working on next year’s draft budget.

The Government Chairman said that the 2024 budget will be balanced, with almost all expenses covered by corresponding revenues. The draft main financial document will be adopted by parliament in the first reading tomorrow on the 15th of November.

The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance invites the deputy corps to consider 3 draft laws that introduce changes and additions to the law on the republican budget for 2023 in the first reading tomorrow.

The Chairman of the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex and Transport Oleg Leontyev presented at tomorrow's plenary meeting a number of legislations prepared for consideration by the Supreme Council and which must be adopted in the near future, including the law-in-draft “On some additional government measures aimed at minimizing the negative impact of external economic factors”, extending the construction amnesty.
