The Supreme Council reduced the time for issuing copies of work-related documents to an employee. Amendments to the Labor Code were adopted in the second final reading. The changes were initiated by deputies Galina Antyufeeva, Oleg Petrik, Stepan Stepanov and Valery Babchinetsky based on citizens' appeals.
“Currently, this period is 10 working days for former employees. We proposed to reduce this period to 5 days. The law-in-draft assumes by the second reading that both current employees and former employees, when applying to organizations, will receive duly certified copies of documents, certificates of work at this enterprise or organization within five working days”, explained the co-author of the law-in-draft, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for legislation Oleg Petrik.
The same rule will protect the rights of workers who carried out activities remotely. The deadline for submitting documents is the same – 5 working days. According to the authors of the law-in-draft, many faced a problem when applying for a pension, namely when collecting the necessary data.
The amendments to the Labor Code adopted in the second reading were sent for signature to the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
