Reservation of the Right to First Improvement of Housing Conditions

06.07.2022

The widows of deceased combatants in the defense of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and combatants in Afghanistan (from April 1978 to February 15, 1989) will continue to be in the preferential line for improving their living conditions. The amendments to the Housing Code were adopted by the Supreme Council in the second final reading. The widow lost this right and passed into the general queue after the death of her husband previously. According to the adopted changes, the right to be in the preferential queue from the date of initial registration will remain. However, the widow must not remarry.

The adopted changes come into force after signing by the President and official publication.

There are 393 combatants in the defense of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and 51 combatants in Afghanistan in the period from April 1978 to February 15, 1989 on the preferential lists of those in need of better living conditions in the republic.
