Since the beginning of this year, according to the law dated December 8, 2014 "On the suspension of several provisions and amendments to some laws of PMR" regarding militia officers suspended benefits in the amount of 50% to pay for all kinds of community facilities. Under the current law "On Militia" this privilege is preserved for the minor children of killed militia officer, as well as for disabled family members, who were dependent on him. However, there are cases where the housing and communal services agencies uniquely understand the legislative provisions that provide grounds for granting exemptions. For this reason, deputies of the Supreme Council Sergey Cheban, Nikolai Namashco, Valery Chervonooky and Ilona Tyuryaeva offered clearly define the rule in the current law "On Militia" that minor children of killed militia officers should be entitled to provide benefits payments for housing and public utilities services at their place of residence.
This law-in-draft was supported at the plenary session in the first reading. The parliamentarians noted that this category of citizens will be provided with state support with adoption of proposed rules.
