Condolences ...

The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic expresses sincere condolences on the untimely death of the Chairman of the Union of Women in Defense of Pridnestrovie, Bendery, Vert Nina Ivanovna.

We will forever keep the memory in our hearts of a wonderful person, a talented organizer and a beautiful woman. We deeply grieve for the irreparable loss. We express condolences to family and friends.

Since 1991, Nina Ivanovna Vert led the Bendery Union of Women in Defense of Pridnestrovie. In the early 90s, public activists, including women, gathered around Bendery strike committee. Having united in an independent organization in August 1991, women took part in the “rail war” as part of the strike committee.

Nina Ivanovna Vert was awarded the Order for Personal Courage.
