A Group of Deputies developed legislations that offer to eliminate the age limit for appointment judges of the Constitutional Court and to set the age limit 65 years. According to the authors, it will allow observe the principle of the unity of the status of judges and provide highly professional body of constitutional review, with years of experience and well-deserved reputation.
Parliamentarians during the plenary session unanimously adopted in the third reading amendments to the Constitution and amendments to the Constitutional Law "On the judicial system of PMR", "On the Status of Judges in PMR" and "On the Constitutional Court of the PMR" in the second and final reading.
According to the new edition of the laws the Constitutional Court judges will be appointed from among persons who on the day of the appointment under the age of 40 years. The age limit of position of judge of the Constitutional Court - is 65 years.
Adopted by parliamentarians laws will be sent for signature and promulgation of the President of PMR.
