Individual entrepreneurs who are engaged in the acceptance, purchase and sale of secondary resources (including ferrous and non-ferrous scrap), waste paper, glassware, cullet, were prohibited from working under the patent and simplified taxation systems from January 1, according to the tax reform. It is not economically profitable to engage in this type of activity in the form of a legal entity due to low profitability. Entrepreneurs addressed the Supreme Council with a request to resolve the issue. The Head of the Economic Policy Committee Viktor Guzun developed an initiative and today at the plenary session it was supported by the Supreme Council in two readings at once. Acceptance and sale of secondary resources (waste paper, glassware, cullet, etc., including ferrous scrap) are included in the list of activities for which work is possible under a simplified taxation system.

The author of the legislative initiative explained that in this way several tasks would be solved simultaneously: employment of the population, a simple form of doing business and the stable operation of one of the city-forming enterprises of Pridnestrovie, Moldavian Metallurgical Plant. Parliamentarians adopted the law-in-draft in two readings at once. The new norm will come into force after signing by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
