Mass Media - the source of information

The baton of the meetings of the Collegiums of authorities and departments was continued by the State Media Service. The Collegium, in which the results of the activities of both the State Service and the media under its jurisdiction in 2018 was summed up, was attended by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the relevant parliamentary committee on public associations, sports, information and youth policy, Igor Buga, deputy Andrei Safonov, Deputy Prime Minister Stanislav Kasap, Chairman of the consultative assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies under the Chairman of the Supreme Council Igor Smirnov, members of the government, journalists.

Lidia Kolodka, the Head of the State Media Service, made a report. She spoke in detail about all the activities of department, about the work of state-run media, as well as the enterprises of the Stamp of Pridnestrovie and the Polygraphist enterprises that are part of the state service.

There is someone to carry out these tasks - last year, the specialized department registered five new mass media. Currently, in the unified register, which is also maintained by the State Media Service, 275 mass media working in the republic are of various types.

Every year, interest in the events of foreign journalists in Pridnestrovie is growing. 94 representatives of foreign mass media received accreditation for work.

Last year, Pridnestrovian State Unitary Enterprise issued 80 new brands with a total circulation of more than 1 million copies. As experts recognize, they are in great demand, first of all, from foreign philatelists.

Igor Buga, head of the Supreme Council Committee on public associations, sports, information and youth policy, spoke about interaction with the profile state service, representatives of the “fourth power”.

Igor Buga in a dialogue with the participants of the final Collegium gave media workers a number of recommendations on how to fill the content of the state television channel, how to cover the activities of NGOs that are funded from abroad, create social clips promoting a healthy lifestyle, and assured that members of the relevant parliamentary committee are ready to ongoing constructive cooperation with representatives of the media, "Our doors are always open for you".

The President spoke on many aspects of media activities during the final meeting. According to the President, our media is also one of the most significant channels for disseminating true information about Pridnestrovie in the world. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that in their creative work, journalists should pay more attention to working people, labor dynasties, family values, the lives of young Pridnestrovians, issues of preserving the history of Pridnestrovie, the culture of the peoples living in our republic.
