To serve and to learn

Deputies of the Supreme Council adopted in final reading the legislations that will give all conscript students the opportunity to continue their studies during military service. Some military personnel did not have this opportunity due to the lack of correspondence courses in many specialties before the changes were adopted. There are no correspondence or evening courses, for example, in some specialties of the medical, philological and natural geography faculties, and the Institute of Physics and Technology, according to the Pridnestrovian State University. A group of deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens proposed to study according to an individual curriculum in the absence of a correspondence course.

So far, the adopted standards apply to 9 military personnel. They will be able to both serve and study at a university according to an individual plan after legislative changes come into force from September 1.
