Slobodzeya celebrates the City Day

Slobodzeya today celebrates the 252nd anniversary of the first mention in the chronicle sources. In honor of this event, the city administration organized thematic events. The Head of the city and district Vasily Tishchenko, deputy of the Supreme Council for electoral district No. 21 “Slobodzeyisky” Pavel Shinkaryuk and Chairman of the Council of People's Deputies Tatyana Zalevskaya congratulated residents on the holiday.

Parliamentarian Pavel Shinkaryuk noted that the town of Slobodzeya has changed in recent years, it has become more beautiful, cleaner, more comfortable.

The Head of the State Administration Vasily Tishchenko noted that many congratulatory telegrams had been received on the occasion of the City Day. One of them is from the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky.

The center of attraction of the holiday was the Arcade complex of the city. Here is an exhibition of decorative and applied art "I love you, my native land!" In addition, one could see a museum exhibition entitled "Slobodzeya in the Mirror of History".

As the director of the Slobodzeya Museum Association Victoria Cheban said, the exhibition presents photographs and documents from various periods of the city's life.

Bike ride was organized in honor of the City Day. This event has already become traditional and gathers a large number of participants.

“Every year we see more and more applicants who want to participate. You must cover a distance of 13 kilometers. Participants will drive through the entire city and will stop at memorial sites. We will continue this tradition in the future”, added Pavel Shinkaryuk.

Activists of the "Youth Renewal" handed out brochures about Slobodzeya to residents and guests of the city and, as a pleasant bonus, red and white roses.

Ceremony honoring the honorary residents of Slobodzeya took place on Arkadnaya Square. The strongest married couples received letters of thanks, gifts and flowers. Valentina and Vasily Rodionov have been married for almost 50 years. The golden wedding will be celebrated in October. They raised three sons, now they are raising grandchildren. The couple shared the secret of family happiness.

Creative teams of the city performed after the ceremony. Remote trade worked. The soloists of the "Dnestr" vocal-instrumental ensemble of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR performed.
