Slobodzeya celebrates the Temple holiday

The city of Slobodzeya Moldavian part celebrates the Temple Feast on the 21st of November. Festive events were held in the Church of the Archangel Michael. The parishioners and guests of the city took part in the Divine Liturgy and in the procession around the Temple. Archpriest of the Church of the Archangel Michael Andrey Danilescu, Deputy Head of the District State Administration – Head of the Infrastructure Development Department of Slobodzeya Sergey Samoilov and Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Pavel Shinkaryuk congratulated those present on the Temple Feast.

“I want to wish that we always have peace, that Slobodzeya flourishes, and our people are kind to each other,” the deputy noted.

Honoring the anniversaries of family life took place in a solemn atmosphere. Congratulations were received by Leonid Ivanovich and Tatyana Nikolaevna Cheban, who lived together during 55 years, as well as Mikhail Ignatievich and Efrosinya Ivanovna Shinkaryuk, Konstantin Georgievich and Valentina Sergeevna Kotets, who celebrated 50 years of marriage. They were presented with letters of thanks, memorable gifts and flowers.

The presentation and special cancellation of a new series of postage stamps "Churches of Pridnestrovie" took place in addition in the church. They were presented by the Cultural Adviser of the Ruling Bishop, Director of the Center for the Study of the Cultural, Historical and Spiritual Heritage of Pridnestrovie Nikolay Dymchenko and Director of the State Unitary Enterprise "Pridnestrovian Mark Publishing House" Vsevolod Lavrentiev. The series includes 3 stamps with images of churches and temples of Pridnestrovie: Archangel Michael (Slobodzeya), Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Kamenka) and the Temple of Sophia on the territory of the John the Baptist Monastery. The icon of the Holy Archangel Michael is depicted on the envelope of the first day.

A field kitchen was working on the square in front of the temple at the end of the holiday. Everyone was treated to hot fish soup and fresh pastries.
