Preserving the past, living the future

Today they spoke about the past, present and future in the House of Culture of the city of the anniversary in Slobodzeya. The first persons of the state, deputies of the Supreme Council, members of the public, residents and guests of Slobodzeya remembered those who, defending the Fatherland, laid their heads on the battlefields. Heroes' memory was honored with a moment of silence.

“The history of Slobodzeya is the history of its inhabitants. Understanding our spiritual wealth, combined with the fertility of the richest land, makes us, residents of Slobodzeya, ready to withstand any, even the most formidable element”, said Vasily Tishchenko, head of the state administration of the Slobodzeya district and the city of Slobodzeya.

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky said that we must remember the past, honor the history, be proud of it. Inner peace, stability, order, ecology, social justice depends on people.

“Each generation leaves something good for the life of the whole society. The younger generation laid the capsule for the future generation. It is important to convey to descendants the love of the land, nature, customs of their ancestors and respect for people”,said Igor Smirnov, the First President of the PMR.

As part of the solemn assembly, many residents of Slobodzeya were awarded state awards. To the applause they mentioned the names of those who contributed to the development and formation of the city. Among them, Vitaly Glebov, who took an active part in the socio-political life of the Moldavian SSR and Pridnestrovie.

“Together with you, we recreated the Slobodzeya district. Then the residents elected me as Deputy of the Supreme Council. In Parliament, I headed the House of Representatives. You have supported me all your life, you support me today, ”Vitaliy Glebov, Doctor of Economics, professor, head of the PMR Public Chamber, member of the Advisory Assembly of the First Pridnestrovian Deputies expressed his gratitude to the leadership and residents of the city.

The festive concert continued the solemn assembly. Honored artists of the PMR and dance ensembles demonstrated their work.

In the evening, the DoReDos band will perform for the residents of Slobodzeya. The anniversary of the city will be finished with a bright salute.
