20.04.2022

The law-in-draft on measures to support Pridnestrovian business has been sent to the Supreme Council. The package was formed by the Government in close cooperation with the business community. A set of measures has been agreed with the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie. This topic was discussed the day before in the House of Official Receptions. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky met with entrepreneurs, heads of enterprises and public organizations representing the interests of the business community, the presidential press service reports. The discussion was attended by Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy Viktor Guzun, Chairman of the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex Oleg Leontiev and deputies of the Committee Igor Yarych and Sergei Pisarenko.

The problem of export-import restrictions is especially acute for Pridnestrovie in connection with the situation in Ukraine and blockade measures by Moldova. The participants of the meeting spoke about the situation in the republic, about the course of the negotiation process, about the difficulties our state is facing in various areas. There are obstacles in the supply to Pridnestrovie of medicines, foodstuffs, products necessary for the efficient conduct of agricultural work and the functioning of industrial enterprises. The situation with the Moldavian Metallurgical Plant was discussed. Approximately 300 employees of the plant are on vacation at the moment, the rest were engaged in work not related to the production of products, but aimed at improving the enterprise and landscaping work areas. The Moldavian Metallurgical Plant has several tons of materials, in connection with which it is planned to launch a working workshop after a large campaign to collect scrap metal within the republic.

After a detailed exchange of information, opinions and proposals, the participants in the conversation agreed to continue consolidated work aimed at preserving production resources, developing the economy, and ensuring food security in Pridnestrovie, the press service of the President notes.
